Hisenberg’s uncertanty principle poses us an interesting question on “Limit of knowledge”. Please bear in mind that this limit is not imposed due to inability of phycical instruments to probe deeper but it is imposed due to effect of concious observer on reality.

So are mystics & spiritual people correct when they say that the ultimate reality can never be explained by science but can only be experienced by going beyond sences & mind?

Here I am using word mystic & spritual in context of eastern practices of Yoga, Zen & Tao, basicaly the quest of attaining No-mind state.
I see many answers connecting Yoga, Zen, Tao to faith. But these practices has nothing to do with faith. In fact these practices are based on doubt & quest to resolve the doubt through inner enquiry & exploration, just like science does the same with outer enqiiry & exploration.

Aside from this there is great book “The Ghost in the Atom” edited by P.C.W. Davis & J.R. Brown. It has interviews of
Alain Aspect, John Bell, John Wheeler, Rudolf Peierls, David Deutvh, John Tayler, David Bohm & Basil Hiley. There you can see very interesting interpretations of Quantom Theory by leading minds in Physics.
